Range Construction Update – Roof coming soon!
We’re excited to announce the final phase of our range construction: roof installation, mirroring our previous range design. This project, made possible by generous member contributions and support from our valued partner, the USCCA, is slated to begin as early as Thursday, June 26.
The construction area will be cordoned off, and benches will be temporarily relocated up range ~20 yards. Should a full range closure be required, we will make our best effort to provide notice on our calendar and Facebook page. Please consult these platforms for updates before your visit. We kindly ask for your courtesy and flexibility while the carpenters are on site.
Join Our Private & Secure Communities (Pilot)
Stay connected with us in a way that respects your privacy and security. We are testing the offering of two encrypted, private messaging platforms for you to engage with our community, free from the interference and censorship of big tech:
Join our Signal Group – Signal is a widely trusted, end-to-end encrypted messaging platform designed to keep your communications private. It provides a seamless and secure environment for one-on-one chats, group conversations, and media sharing. With Signal, your messages are encrypted from sender to receiver, ensuring that only you and the intended recipient can access the content. This makes Signal an ideal choice for those who want to communicate freely, without the risk of censorship or privacy exposures. To learn more about Signal, visit https://signal.org/
Join us on SimpleX – SimpleX takes privacy to the next level by offering a truly anonymous, account-free messaging platform. Unlike traditional messaging apps that require you to register with a phone number or email address, SimpleX allows users to connect without leaving any traceable identity. Its decentralized, encrypted system ensures that your messages remain private, without compromising your anonymity. SimpleX deviates from the typical messaging app by not relying on an account that syncs across multiple devices. If you intend to use SimpleX on multiple devices, you’ll have a different ‘account’ on each device. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing your encryption keys for account recovery, as SimpleX does not manage them for you. In summary, while SimpleX offers advanced privacy features, it may not be as user-friendly, particularly for those who aren’t tech-savvy. If you’re looking for a more familiar user experience, Signal may be a better option. To learn more about SimpleX, visit https://simplex.chat/
Both Signal and SimpleX are essential tools for protecting your privacy, especially in an age where big tech platforms have shown a willingness to censor and restrict open discussion. Many of these platforms do not support communities like ours, banning discussions related to the Second Amendment and other freedoms. By using these secure platforms, you’re taking control of your privacy and standing against the growing trend of surveillance and censorship. We encourage you to join our private groups and engage in open, secure discussions that matter to you.
To join either or both groups, please go to https://saukvillegunclub.com/membership-lookup/. When you submit your email of record for the club, you will receive an email that will have private invite links for each platform.
Please note that we are unable to offer technical support for either platform, as we do not have access to manage accounts or configurations.
Donations to support the New Range Costs
This move will be costing our club approximately $100,000 to build a new access road, remove trees, build new berms and add other amenities like benches and roof to the new range.
We are asking any members that would be willing to donate to the club to help offset these costs to please do so. We are able to take donations online or from mailing a check.
Donations online can be made by clicking here:
https://saukvillegunclub.com/shop/product/range-construction-donation/
Please note: Donating by mailing a check, especially for any large donations, is preferred due to avoiding processing fees from online payment processors.
Please make out and mail any donation checks to:
Saukville Gun Club
P.O. Box 13
Saukville, WI 53080
Please note the purpose of the check in the memo field or with a note that it is to help with range construction costs.
We sincerely apprecate a donation of any size to assist with large outflow of cash we will have to cover these expenses.
